Swiss Water Processed decaffeinated coffee roasted to the lighter side of a dark roast. Origin varies seasonally — typically Colombian, Guatemalan, or Ethiopian. Tasting notes of chocolate and brown sugar with a mild acidity. For coffee lovers who refuse to compromise on taste but still want to fall asleep at a reasonable hour.
Roast: Lighter side of dark
Origin: Seasonal: Colombia, Guatemala, or Ethiopia (Swiss Water Processed decaf)
Style: Decaffeinated — Swiss Water Process (chemical-free)
Tasting Notes: Chocolate, brown sugar, mild acidity
Recommended for: Espresso (after dinner), drip, French press, pourover
Roaster: Zolo Coffee Roasters
How to Brew It
-
Espresso: The after-dinner shot. 1:2 ratio (18g in, 36g out). The chocolate and brown sugar carry beautifully through milk drinks — a real decaf latte.
-
Drip / pourover: Late-evening cup that won't keep you up. Try a 1:16 ratio.
-
French press / cold brew: The body is full and forgiving. 1:15 hot, 1:8 concentrate cold.

About Zolo Coffee Roasters
Zolo is our neighbor in Berkeley — a roaster we've worked with for years. We carry their full lineup because they roast great coffee, consistently. The bags we sell are the same beans we pull at the shop. See the full Zolo lineup →
Why we carry Zolo
We've been working with Dave and Nick at Zolo Coffee since early 2020 — neighbors who supported each other through the pandemic and have been collaborating on machines and customers ever since. They roast a few blocks from our shop, and we share the same priorities: coffee worth drinking, machines that run right, and treating people well.
