Lelit Bianca 40th Limited Edition: What's Different, Price & Who Should Buy It

Lelit Bianca 40th Anniversary Limited Edition

Updated October 21, 2026. A buying guide from Kanen Coffee, Berkeley — authorized LELIT dealer.

The LELIT Bianca 40th is a numbered, limited-production version of the Bianca V3. Inside, it is the same machine: dual boilers, the flow-control paddle and the LCC display. You are paying for the finish — an artist's illustration on the body, Zebrano wood details and one of 1,986 serial numbers. If you want the Bianca for how it pulls shots, the standard V3 does exactly the same job for less.

We have one in stock in Berkeley: see the Bianca 40th Limited Edition.

What makes it a limited edition

  • 1,986 machines worldwide. The number marks LELIT's founding year, 1986. This edition celebrates the company's 40th anniversary.
  • Individually numbered. Each unit carries its own serial number, 0001 to 1986, micro-punched into the steel beneath the illustration.
  • An illustrated body. LELIT commissioned an exclusive illustration from an Italian artist. Flowing lines cover the polished stainless steel body.
  • Zebrano wood. The striped wood is used on the paddle, knobs, portafilter handles and feet, in place of the standard trim.

Prices are in USD before tax and shipping. The 40th edition price matches LELIT's US list price and other authorized US dealers. The Bianca V3 price is our current Bianca V3 listing. We have not found a published technical difference between the two machines. Shot quality, warm-up and steaming should match the V3. This guide uses published specifications, not a side-by-side bench test.

Who should buy the 40th edition

Choose it if you already know the Bianca is your machine and the look matters to you. That includes buying it as a gift, or wanting a numbered piece that is not on every other counter. Because the edition is capped at 1,986 units, it will sell out rather than be restocked.

Skip it if the extra $200 would do more as part of the whole setup. That money is better spent on a grinder upgrade, water treatment or a first service. The paddle, boilers and controls are identical, so the standard V3 makes the same espresso.

One practical note: wood trim needs a little more care than the standard parts. Wipe the paddle and knobs dry, and keep cleaning chemicals off the wood when you backflush.

Owning a Bianca: what we see on the bench

As a repair shop, we service Biancas every week. A limited edition does not change maintenance. Use the water softener and follow LELIT's descaling guidance for your water. Plan on routine gasket and screen replacement on the group. If you're comparing it with other machines, read Bianca V3 vs Mara X and Bianca vs La Marzocco Linea Mini.
