Purpose-Built for Espresso
The Baratza Encore ESP Pro is not a coffee grinder with an espresso mode bolted on. It was designed from the ground up to hit the espresso grind range — tighter burr geometry, espresso-calibrated adjustment steps, and a low-RPM motor that keeps heat out of your grounds. If you have been making espresso with a general-purpose grinder and wondering why dial-in feels inconsistent, this is the upgrade.

Why the Encore ESP Pro?
Steps designed for espresso — the 16-step adjustment range is concentrated where espresso grind lives. Each click moves you a meaningful amount without sending you off a cliff. No hunting through 40 steps to find your dose.
Low RPM = less heat = better flavor — most budget grinders spin fast, which generates friction heat that degrades aromatics. The ESP Pro's 130RPM motor keeps grounds cool during extraction for cleaner, truer flavor.
Compact footprint — fits on a normal counter alongside your espresso machine without dominating the space. Built to live next to a Bambino or a Lelit Victoria, not on a separate table.
Baratza repairability — replacement parts are sold directly by Baratza. This grinder is designed to be fixed, not replaced.
ESP Pro vs Regular Encore — What Is the Difference?
The standard Encore is a great all-around grinder calibrated for drip and pour-over. The ESP Pro's adjustment range shifts toward the fine end and is calibrated specifically for espresso. The RPM is also lower on the ESP Pro, which matters for espresso because fine grounds are more sensitive to heat than coarser ones. If you are making espresso, the ESP Pro is the right tool. The regular Encore will frustrate you at fine settings.
Fits Most Machines
The included dosing cup fits 53/54mm portafilters (Breville, DeLonghi) and 58mm portafilters with the included adapter. Works with Breville Bambino, Barista Express, Lelit Victoria, Mara X, and most 58mm prosumer machines.

I went to Kanan in person and looked at/tried the various grinders to see what would work best for my kitchen and setup. The person who helped me was very helpful and knowledgeable, which made the sale much easier.

I just went there to see in-person the Lelit machines (among others). I was able to touch them and feel its construction. The guys there are well knowledgeable about all of them and will give you proper recommendations. Unfortunately they are not currently shipping abroad. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend.
